This article is a stub, which means that it is very short and people can add a lot more useful information to it. Most articles start as stubs and eventually grow to become regular articles once more information is added.

Horseshoe Bottom Presbyterian Church and Cemetery (not to be confused with the nearby Horseshoe Bottom Baptist Church and Cemetery) was the predecessor to the First Presbyterian Church, Monongahela.

The church was located 2 1/2 miles outside of The City of Monongahela on Coyle Curtain Road in Carroll Township on a farm owned by Simon Wilson. The church building was demolished but the adjoining church cemetery still exists and is one of the oldest in the Monongahela area. The site of the church building is marked by an approximately 6' high stone memorial to which a bronze tablet is attached that reads:

Presbyterian Church founded here in 1785, Organization transferred to Monongahela City in 1807 and the church is
now known as the First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela City. This Memorial erected 1935
